COVID's economic impact on the nation of Jordan is severe. Unemployment has hit a 30-year high of 25%. We invite you to partner with us in blessing these brothers and sisters who are in the midst of severe economic challenges. (We know that Jordan’s situation is not altogether unique globally, so we encourage you to also support and bless those suffering in your networks.) 

Description: YFC Jordan will mobilize our church partners to identify youth from families in their communities who have been hardest hit during these economic times and to present them with care packages for Christmas. These packages will include food staples such as rice, beans, and oil; food vouchers to purchase vegetables and meat; and clothing vouchers to purchase clothes. Youth from the congregations will be involved in the distribution.

Funding: Each care package will cost about $100. Our goal is to distribute 40 gifts this Christmas through our church partners, totaling $4,000 worth of food and clothing. (Any additional funds raised will be used for the same purpose.) Although we will ask our local church partners to contribute as they are able, we are fully aware that churches, many of which already have food programs for refugees in their communities, are facing significant financial challenges.

Goal: We realize we will not alleviate the economic impact of this year with our care packages. We simply want to show the youth in our communities that we care for them and that they are not forgotten in the chaos. We hope that these gifts will be a small but meaningful reminder of the Messiah’s arrival to the earth, communicating God’s limitless love and inspiring hope in the midst of suffering.
